Application of B-spline functioas over unevan knots in image processing is studied here. The subject is on compression of image signals. Ihe algorithm for selecting uneven knots from tae contours of the image is pursued here. A specific closeness error constraint appropriate for 3-D data is used here. The image reconstruction problem is tackLed in two distinct ways, namely triangulation method and thin plates spline method. Some procedures to evaluate the fidelity of the image reconstruction...

In this paper, we have obtained existence, uniqueness and error bounds for deficient discrete quartic spline interpolation.

Topics: Deficient, Discrete, Quartic Spline, Interpolation, Error Bounds

In this paper a finite element method involving Petrov-Galerkin method with quintic B-splines as basis functions and septic B-splines as weight functions has been developed to solve a general sixth order boundary value problem with a particular case of boundary conditions. The basis functions are redefined into a new set of basis functions which vanish on the boundary where the Dirichlet and the Neumann type of boundary conditions are prescribed. The weight functions are also redefined into a...

Time to print a new one, maybe with 100% infill this time. :)

I looked for a tool on Thingiverse to remove the cassette lock on an old mountain bike, but was unsuccessful. Everything that I downloaded was too small (Shimano?). I made this one and it worked perfectly. It can be driven with a 25mm boxed-end wrench (1" should work too). I printed it in PLA with 75% infill and 3 walls. The diameter of the tool from cog to cog is ~32mm. I hope this helps other folks with their old cassette rebuilds. Cheers!

The usual way to cut decorative or functional slots in mitered corners of a box is to build a jig to hold the box on a table saw or router table to cut the slots. But what if your "box" is a TV stand measuring 40"x20"x20" -- not so practical. So I designed a jig to attach to the corner of the box and guide a router to make the cuts. And it works well! Print two 3D printed side pieces, with a joining piece of wood to connect, cut to make a channel exactly the width of...

I was working on a project in OpenSCAD that needed smooth curves. I was excited to find some [Bezier curve libraries](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8443), but as I used them I remembered why awkward thing about Bezier curves: they're hard to design with if you want precise control. You move a control point, and it pulls the curve one way, but it also affects other areas of the curve, so you have to nudge adjacent control points the other way to compensate, and then repeat forever. What I...

I modeled this to replace the splined shaft that connects the flush handle to the cable actuator for a Fluidmaster Universal Flush Conversion Kit. It isn't 100% exact but it is close enough to work smoothly. The original lever has a raised surface that limits its travel that I haven't managed to correctly place so I have left out since it is mostly unnecessary from m observations... The shaft is designed as a print in place item. It does need support at the base. The splined connection to the...

I used Skimbal's head as a base and made a lofted spline based head. This head is not exactly identical. The top peg of mine is not solid, in fact the entire head is more of a tube really, which I also adjusted so the top can fit inside the neck if the heads are stacked, as lego heads do. I have not printed it yet, but I can increase the resolution pretty easily if any has any suggestions for optimizations. I am pretty new to 3d printing in general.

In modern society, the number and popularity of autonomous systems are increasing, and it seems certain that their importance will grow in the future. As early as 2017, Amazon was already working with more than 100,000 warehouse robots, and many companies have begun shipping with drones or autonomous vehicles around the world. In the future, autonomous systems are likely to play a major role not only in the public sector but also in the defense sector. In fact, the Republic of Korea Army...
