System resource use is a big problem in the field of informatics. Developers are constantly looking for new ways to solve this problem. Virtualization of data centers and moving to cloud environments are some of the solutions produced. In these methods, virtualized servers are used to run and publish applications in isolation. Servers used for dedicated software in cloud computing environments are still not used with the desired efficiency. For this purpose, container technology has been...

Pizza Dough Docker - Optimized for FDM or Resin Printers! During this Pandemic my wife decided to really increase her cooking skills because we've lost so many close family members and friends to this mess, most of whom caught it at restaurants while eating out. :( My wife has a PHD in Molecular Biology/Regenerative Medicine, and she has ONE mental setting for everything she does: "WIDE-OPEN-ALL-OUT-100%"! In the last two years, using the money we've saved by NOT eating out, I think...

About a decade ago developers used to follow monolithic approach for developing application. There used to be a single large application containing millions of lines of code. And it would take hours just to build an application. Many people used to work together to build an application. If bug was found in any single line of code then we had to take down application. So other people's work too couldn't get out. So this would delay the release of an application. Now a days the concept of...

This a docker for Pizza or bread-stick dough. You roll out your dough, oil it and then roll it with this and it pokes little holes evenly throughout the flat dough to avoid over raised areas on the dough. If you are a cook, you may like this, it seems to work very well. FYI - although i have used ABS for this prototype; I recommend a food safe material for the permanent usable version.

Mandy Waite - Keynote: So, I have all these Docker containers, now what? [EuroPython 2015] [24 July 2015] [Bilbao, Euskadi, Spain] You've solved the issue of process-level reproducibility by packaging up your apps and execution environments into a number of Docker containers. But once you have a lot of containers running, you'll probably need to coordinate them across a cluster of machines while keeping them healthy and making sure they can find each other. Trying to do this imperatively can...

Serverside applications are more and more likely to need to run in dynamic cloud environments where they can automatically scale as required. One rightfully popular approach is to run the application as a Docker container inside a Kubernetes cluster, giving you a lot of operational benefits thanks to the Kubernetes folks. # PANDAcap – SSH Honeypot Dataset ## Overview This is a dataset of **63 [PANDA][panda] traces**, collected using the [PANDAcap][pandacap] framework. The dataset aims to offer a starting point for the analysis of *ssh brute force attacks*. The traces were collected through the course of approximately 3 days from 21 to 23 February 2020. A VM was configured using PANDAcap so that it accepts all passwords for user `root`. When an ssh session starts for the user, PANDA is signaled by the [recctrl...

I loved how a method existed for converting MRI data into a 3D model of my brain, but I realized that it's hella annoying to have to install (on Linux only) FSL, FreeSurfer, dependencies, and helper programs. In addition, the `3Dprinting_brain.sh` script provided in the original wasn't very user-friendly. As such, I have taken it upon myself to make a Docker container that has everything you need to (hopefully) turn your raw scan data into a .stl file for 3D printing! It works! Here, you can...

Virtualization technology plays a vital role in cloud computing. In particular, benefits of virtualization are widely employed in high performance computing (HPC) applications. Containers have a long and storied history in computing. Unlike hypervisor virtualization, where one or more independent machines run virtually on physical hardware via an intermediation layer, containers instead run user space on top of an operating system's kernel. As a result, container virtualization is often called...

You are maybe like me: I never learned at school how to write tests. My teachers gave me at first a broad overview of computer history. Then, they explained me some basic design patterns. And to finish, I often had to write more or less basic programs, to validate and demonstrate my skills. Not the kind of code I would be really proud of today: the procrastinator monkey living in my head at this time was more thinking about planning my summer holidays, rather than writing Ninja code! And to...
