Hypertext is now commonplace: links and linking structure nearly all of our experiences online. Yet the literary, as opposed to commercial, potential of hypertext has receded. One of the few tools still focused on hypertext as a means for digital storytelling is Twine, a platform for building choice-driven stories without relying heavily on code. In Twining , Anastasia Salter and Stuart Moulthrop lead readers on a journey at once technical, critical, contextual, and personal. The book’s...

This is what I believe to be an earlier version of the same brochure that I have not seen anywhere else. Unlike the other one , it has not been folded in half. It has a couple of differences both in text and graphics. One interesting detail is that it promises that Zork Zero, Shogun and Journey will all be released for the Atari ST. On the other hand, the other brochure promises more versions of Quarterstaff.

For Windows An off shoot from the game Titanic: Adventure out of Time , this game features the same interface and system and once again pitches the player as the secret agent aboard the Titanic. Whilst the game features the same characters and is in essence a cut down version of the larger game, it does have a different and briefer storyline to it. This game is similar to a demo of the parent game, with the disc also boasting a trailer for the game, and screensavers.

From 2006-2008, director Jason Scott interviewed over 70 programmers, writers, academics and designers about text adventures and interactive fiction, that genre of computer game which dominated the early days of home computer and which has faded into a much smaller portion of the game world. Even though it is no longer at the forefront of gaming, the influence and breadth of the subject inspired Jason to track down as many of the original designers of these games as he could, as well as...

There have also been a number of social changes. The government has created a new monetary unit, called a credit. The government claimed this new type of money would solve our nation's inflationary problems. However, this new currency didn't stop inflation at all; it simply got several politicians...

Your parents have left you alone for the weekend (pity them, right?) and they've left you only a few dollars and some food. With nothing else on the agenda for the weekend, you'd like to eat some food, watch some super-fly television and perhaps invite a few of your home boys over for a session of spider weed. You're a drop out junkie, and it's gonna stay that way, yo! You vaguely recall your mother warning you about the 'golden french fry' (what is that, anyway?), and something else very vague...
