A family of Slacko5.7 Puppy Linux Distros. All use FireFox27 configured for security. All have Slackware Updates through Feb. 14, 2017. An update to the Puppy Linux Slacko 5.7 for the eeePC. All updates and symlinks are accomplished through Jan. 19,2017. OpenSSL is 1.0.2.J, and FireFox is still version 27. The X11 family of files are also updated. In this distribution only the Intel i915 video software is used. This was quite a popular chipset with netbooks in 2008-9-10. It may well work with other netbooks of that time frame. The md5 and shaa1 sums are included in the notes file.

Print 2 of these for standing an eeePC in a semi-vertical position. Would probably work with other small netbook computer or tablets. A hole is included for a 3/16" dowel to hold the supports together. The hole can be reamed out to 5mm for a metric dowel.

We were pleasantly surprised at this Computex 2008 when we saw Gigabyte's new convertible tablet, the M912. At 50, with an 8.9-inch screen and 160gb HDD, it promises to be an excellent competitor to the HP Mini-Note. Gigabyte's Brendon Lo says that the M912 should be out by July 2008. We're looking forward to getting our hands on one!
