Pretty cool user unknown
There must be a Head in Yankee Marketing department they are celebrating Garcia’s 80th
When it is all said and done it will be Jerry that ends up being the Mozart of our time period especially in regards the GD universe,

It will be interesting to see what people ask for this after the promotion. And I agree, Jerry will be held in high esteem in the musical community for a long time.

Re: Garcia Bobblehead night at Yankee Stadium |
I look at it differently. Parker was a creator of something absolutely new but he wasn't loved by all. I see Jerry as an enormously creative synthesizer who was widely loved like Louis. Just like I see Elvis.
Plus you could dance with Jerry and Louis. 😀

Re: Garcia Bobblehead night at Yankee Stadium |
Large swaths of the run-of-the-mill rock and roll crowd don't have much love for Jerry's sloppy noodle style. Very much how Bird was disparaged for not following jazz orthodoxy. They both created something new that made the run-of-the-mill look bad.
It is supposed to be tight and practiced until rote. Note for note the same as the album version.

I'm still going with Pops. I'm from the Dick Clark school. It's got a good beat and ya can dance too it.

don't bobble that head, dribble it down the quart
I've always thought of the Grateful Dead's lead guitarist as the Garcia of his time.
