actually, when I first moved here I had to commute to Kirkland from SEA. It was a major nightmare crossing the 520 bridge. Now I have a 5 mile drive that takes 10 minutes max.

Local crosstown traffic wasn't as bad back then, but compared to the Bay Area even in 1983 it's still nothing. Only time we get daily Bay Area type traffic disasters is when a shooter goes on the rampage and starts shooting across I-5. But then the Bay Area has the same population as the entire state of WA.

I like the Raspberry Festival thing out in Darrington, that would have been a very cool gig.
