The Village Green Newsletter was the official newsletter of the A.C.U.G., a Commodore user groups that has gone by multiple names over the years. This user group was officially recognized by Commodore and designated as user group #447.
It is believed that the group itself began as a regular meeting of Commodore PET enthusiasts as far back as 1978. The earliest known naming of the group is documented in a 1983 issue of Compute! Gazette as the Astoria Commodore Users Group.In the early 90s, the name was changed to the Amiga & Commodore User's Group. As of July 2006, the name was changed to Anything Commodore User's Group.
According to Lord Ronin, the editor for the Village Green, the group had an untitled single-page newsletter as early as his joining in 1993. However, it is believed that the proper Village Green newsletter began in September of 1999.
The newsletter and the group itself is believed to have shut down shortly after Lord Ronin's death in December of 2009
