Subject: My favorite band
DOWNLOADERS NOTE: As with at least some other Strangefolk MP3s on the archive, the categories for the tracks are not labeled (e.g. track numbers are not matched to disks), and you will have to do quite a bit of labeling yourself in order to preserve the show's sequence, let alone identify what track's you'll be listening to. This is EXTREMELY ANNOYING, but the show is so goddamn good that I still have to rate it a 5. Normally I down-rate when crap like that happens.
Great sound, & very cool of the band to allow their fans to pick the covers they wanted to hear. Good stuff indeed . . .
Subject: Still my favorite....

Subject: Awesome covers, Strangefolk post Reid
The sound quality is very good, although a little dry, probably as a result of the soundboard (although, this is a personal preference).
It seems like Strangefolk has made a full comeback (and new-found progress) since the loss of former guitarist and vocalist Reid Genauer. The first Strangefolk show I saw without Reid disapointed me... the sound was foreign yet unmistakably "Strangefolk without Reid and with someone else instead"... To my pleasant surprise, this Garden of Eden recording depicts, to me anyway, a Strangefolk that has grown and matured into its current sound. Fear not, the Strangefolk sound remains without a doubt, but the songs, old and especially new, match the band playing them.
