Subject: My 6th great grandfather!
When you write a journal, you do it for yourself and I'm sure you don't think for a second that your 6th great granddaughter would be binge reading it over 200 years later, on the edge of her seat, wondering what life must have been like for you & the soldiers you commanded.
I'm grateful that I'm able to get to know a little bit more about John Bell Tilden, my 6th great grandfather, through his very own writing. He seemed kind, educated, and cultured. I'm proud to be of his lineage.
