Do you like to party, have a good time, and Rock N' Roll? If you said no, then don't see the band TrypTonite because that's their lifestyle. In the past year, TrypTonite has stirred up major label interest with their new CD. This act has been rockin' up, and down, and all around building up a hefty following. TrypTonite has broken daytime airplay on Rock 104.7 and the listeners' responses have been incredible.
This power trio consists of singer, songwriter and guitarist Kris Somers, J.J. Arms on the skins, backup yells and moans, and Sean Gadz on the bass. The new album, "What You Want," is available now. I recently ran into drummer J.J. Arms and asked him about the new disc. "The new album is killer. We've put our heart and souls into this project and it has paid off. The beauty of this album is that many minds went into the production. We'd like to thank producer Tom Tolman and engineer Fred Danner for their outstanding contributions. The band, the fans, and management are all pumped up like caged animals waiting to be released!"
Going to see a TrypTonite show fuels the tank. It is always full of surprises. "I saw TrypTonite for the first time about a year ago," says local resident, Dave Fletcher. "I thought, Yeah Baby, these guys rock!" Kris Somers says, "It's a Rock N' Roll party." Mr. Gadz has a word for the wise, "I suggest all the stiffs stay away!"
