sub bass, information, hip hop, technology = data Phantastiq. Mixing elements of hip-hop, drum"n"bass, and techno, Data Phantastiq are uncovering new territories in the world of electronic music. Created in 1998 by producer and remix artist Rob Anonymous and longtime Seattle MC Joephat, Data Phantastiq at its inception was a means to release the debut EP "Carnal Alarmclock" on the now defunct French breakbeat label "Our Thing". The Dou have since written and recorded a full length album entitled "Line Out" due for release later this year. Data Phantastiq's live show is perpetually innovative with Rob Anonymous on keyboards and Joephat on the microphone, as well as a rotating cast of Seattle talent on drums, bass guitar, and turntables. Joephat's performance is engaging as well as insightful with the cut-and-paste soundscapes and breakbeat percussion of Rob Anonymous. Throughout their performance career, The Duo have developed a reputation for energetic and sub bass heavy performances. Data Phantastiq have shared the stage with many local acts including DJ Naha, DJ Miss Kick, Sofcon, and DJ Topcat. Their performance history also includes a 23-date national tour with local cyber-hop group SMP.
