Formed in 1998 CODE 3 consisted initally of all Firefighters from the Amarillo, Texas Area. Following the building popularity of the band locally, professional musicians replaced the Intermediate players to form the current band. CODE 3 performs an average of 60 shows annual locally and regionally, performing in clubs, colleges, benefits etc. The original Classic Rock sets have been replaced with Top 40 to Hard Rock covers, and the ever growing popularity of CODE 3 Originals. In 1999 CODE 3 was picked from MP3.com artist to air it's song "Where the Pieces Fall" on the Emmy Award winning TV Series "First Wave" on the Sci-Fi Channel. As a result Code 3 signed a publishing deal for that song with Pearson Televison. Also that year Female Vocalist Jennifer Bivens was nominated as Female Vocalist of the Year by dallasmusic.com . The bands original "This Time" has become somewhat of a local hit with the Amarillo College Radio station FM-90, Being one of the most requested local artist songs off of a Local Artist Compilation CD called AC-5. Code 3 has headlined most all major events in the Amarillo area, and is now starting to work on regional travel to promote it's First CD "Into the Fire" and is working on a new CD in 2000. Our major goal is to land a recording deal and perform full-time.
