Hello and welcome to my site. I am a 15 years old romanian which lives in France. First thing i would like to mention is that i apologise to all romanian visitors coming on this site because of the lack of a romanian version. I promise i will do my best to provide you with our "good'ol'language" version as soon as possible. I mainly made this site not only for romanians use but i wanted to present B.U.G Mafia to all the world out there because it is really a group which deserves your attention. Thank you again for coming in here and now let's get to the "real stuff" :) Founded in 1993, B.U.G. Mafia is the most succesful hip-hop band in Romania. It is probably the best too. It takes part of the South East Bukarest Klan, their biggest rivals are the West Bukarest Klan. They have a "sattelite" group which is under their Protectorate: La Familia. Members of the group are: -Mr. Juice/Tataee -Daddy Caddy -Uzzi Their biggest passion are the money, typical thing to rappers. It all started with some drums in a small flat and now, they sang through every important town in Romania. They took out 1 song with the slow artists Loredana Groza, very famous pop singer too. Their music is a hip-hop rap combination inspiered by the American rap songs which started to be listened in Romania in the early ninetees. This marked the almost total elipse of the hard-rock fashion in our country. Every kid started listening to Rap. They are mainly singing about street reality, an institution tolerated and even ignored by the High-Society. This is their reason, to transmit the hard reality of street life. Many people hate this music, finding it to aggresive. The reason why it is agressive is that life in a country like Romania was, is and will allways be agressive and full of illegal things. Sometimes i really do wonder why some persons can not understand this. Some of the songs may contain obscene words, typical to True Rap. The songs which knew the biggest success are: -Alex&Toni -Lumea e a mea (feat. Loredana Goroza) -Romania (my own favourite) -Poveste fara sfârsit -Cand te lovesti de realitate -High -Dupa Blocuri (last album) The most succesful album they ever took out is "De Cartier". I'm inviting you to listen to thir music and i hope you'll enjoy it even though you may not understand the words (i'm talking about non-romanian listeners). They got out their latest album on the 18th of january 2000. It is called "Dupa Blocuri" (beyond the apartament blocks). It talks mainly about the misery which hides "beyond the apartament blocks". I already uploaded 3 songs from the album on the site, more coming soon.
