Bart Brady Ciampa is a composer, arranger, and trumpet/flugelhorn player who lives and records in Ridgefield, Washington. He was born and raised in the Boston area where he studied with Jerry Mitchell for ten years. During college in the early '60's, he was fortunate enough to live near Lenny's-on-the-Pike, which was the premier jazz venue of the greater-Boston area. During this period he spent many pleasant evenings listening to the jazz greats and was influenced by folks such as Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Zoot Sims, Al Cohn, Herb Pomeroy, Alan Dawson, Dave Lambert, Charlie Mingus, and many others. His eclectic style encompasses Latin, mellow jazz, and the old jazz standards. He has released five CD's, the latest of which are titled, "Soft Sounds, Sweet Dreams," which is a collection of muted jazz standards, and "Twilight Interlude," a collection of thirteen original Latin songs. Both are available through Amazon.com.
