Soundboard review
I already reviewed the show for the AUD version, so I'll just make a few comments here about the soundboard quality.
The SBD is clean and the instruments are well mixed. You can hear Brent's wonderful electric piano sound very well - better than I remember hearing it at the show, in fact. It contributes in a big way to the beauty of the Playin'.
However, the recording is a Half-Step low in pitch. That's a deal-breaker for me right there. I have plenty of cassettes that are either high or low, fast or slow. I won't accept any more off-pitch recordings when there's so much available at the correct pitch.
Worse, there's a HUGE cut in the middle of Playin', which would be obvious to someone listening to this show for the first time. This version is 2 minutes shorter than the audience version, even though it should be slightly longer due to the slowness. That tells you that a lot has been dropped out.
Still I suggest you at least listen to the Playin' once to hear what the keyboard should sound like (though you will have to mentally transpose the pitch up a half-step unless you have the equipment to correct this).
