On March 1, 2021, Gab.com removed their Git source code repository for their Mastodon fork from the Internet upon the discovery of a major vulnerability. In the same day, @ExaltedData uploaded a snapshot of the repository named "gab-social-develop.tar.gz" to mega.nz. The source code was available upon request to Gab AI by mail.

In the same day, Fosco Marotto (CTO at GAB AI) uploaded a file named "gabsocial-source-03012021.7z" to the Git repository. It is protected by a password, that was never disclosed by Gab AI, Inc. and, therefore, remains useless. The SHA-256 file hash is "6ee31708dddf2f2e102f8163ace9abfdad6c4d31ece09cb9a6b804375a44ab0f".

On March 2, 2021, a file named "gab-social-march-2021.7z" was uploaded to the Git repository. Like in the previous case, the file was also protected by a password, that was disclosed this time; the password being "JesusChristIsKingTrumpWonTheElection" (without the quotation marks). Given that the Internet Archive does not allow encrypted files, it won't be uploaded here. The SHA-256 file hash is "419254d50fe23511f7e521995c7b5cca5f53df1a19c70fb635109e0584959979".

On October 21, 2021, a new release of the source code was uploaded, upon receiving a C&D letter from Mastodon.

On December 21, 2021, a new release of the source code was uploaded. Checksum (SHA-256): 34e97da5a7cd090849afeeacc4d163ed6d2053a8fe5c8ae5508745b2d41edbd2.
