Nostalgia Bomb
First off, I had this disc when it came out in the 90s and I have been looking for a copy to download on and off for years. I am so glad I randomly decided to search for it again today, only to find that it was uploaded mere days ago.
Note that anything beyond this point has been written in a haze of nostalgia.
Anyway, this collection is really special. Most I have found throughout the years have a very paltry selection of games, usually comprised mostly of card, board, and puzzle games, and are the usual Win 95/98/XP schlock. Nothing that deserves more than a cursory glance.
Ultimate Game Collection, however, is special. It has games from all genres, spanning an entire decade - from DOS-based with CGA graphics to Win98/SVGA. Adventure, platformer, puzzle, point-and-click, card, FPS, RPG, strategy, and a whole bunch more that I forget (and can't wait to be reminded of). Sure, there are some demos/shareware, but I found that with this collection, you don't play to the end. You play a bit and move on just to see what the next selection will bring.
