CONTENTS
Welcome to your biggest DOOM ever! This CD-ROM contains more than 650 all new Levels for DOOM, PLUS the majority of Editors, Patches, Menus and Shells, Cheats and other fun stuff, currently available as Shareware. In the [LEVEL]-directory you'll find a lot of single PWADs, which will only replace one or two missions, whereas the [EPISODE]-directory contains only those BIG WADs, which will replace ALL 27 original DOOM-levels. Our MENU-SYSTEM (which will only run under WINDOWS) shows you a screenshot and gives a more or less detailed description (unfortunately only in german, sorry folks...) of each episode/Level. Each level should work in NET- and MULTIPLAYER-MODE as well as in DEATHMATCH, of course this has NOT been thoroughly tested (what did YOU think? 650 levels... PHEW!), so don't blame US if it doesn't...!
USAGE
So what are you supposed to do, to have a glance at one of those PWADs? Either you like it the hard way and you just love to fumble with those bazillions of commandline-switches, OR you use one of the comfortable and convenient SHELLS, that we've put in the directory [DOOM] (nice guys, aren't we?)...
THE HARD WAY
When invoking DOOM from the command-line, you've got to append the desired PWAD typing in something like this:
"DOOM.EXE -file E:\level\xample.WAD E:\episode\onemore.WAD"
You DON'T have to copy each and every WAD to your DOOM directory, as long as you specify the FULL path (which certainly is annoying...!).
THE EASY WAY
Simply copy all files from [DOOM\DCC230] on your CD to your DOOM directory, start DCC.EXE (which means DOOM CONTROL CENTER) and specify the path to your [EPISODE] - directory under the menu {FILE\DEFAULT PARAMS}, now quit DCC, restart it and with the click of a button you've gained acces to ALL 650 levels...!
As mentioned above, we could not really test every single level, so in case you get stuck in a level without exit, or if anything else happens, simply warp yourself to another mission, typing "IDCLEVxy", details on cheating like this may be found under CHEATS in the menu!
