That's a Retroarch issue, since it uses the file hashes databases in their playlists, but arcade roms are more tricky since it has different formats (Non-Merged, Full Non-Merged, Merged and Split), maybe one day they will use filenames instead for the arcade games, so far the only workaround it's to use manual playlists.

I guess you need to ask help to the community of the emulator you're using. I can't help you with that.

Thanks @ChadMaster, this is working, I have a question, I'm using RetroArch and Flycast core, if I scan the folder, nothing gets added, at least I can't find it, if I use a manual scan I can get it added and running but names nor thumbnails are loaded (only zip name), any ideas?

Subject: Reset Credits

I got this downloaded and working.

If I had extra credits and I exit the game, and re open to play the game, the credits do not reset. Is there a way to reset the credits upon exiting the game?
