seven-day forecast. it is hot and steamy this morning. we will hit 95 later on today. it is getting dry in a lot neighborhoods and hopefully we will get a nice coverage. >> that will be great. >> we are looking at an easy ride on the major roadways with one exception, in elkton. there is a disabled tractor- trailer appleton road. all lanes are closed. 95 looks great coming out of cecil county. everything moving well on the north and west side. jfx and harrisburg expressway are moving smoothly. let's look at the beltway and the b-w parkway. traffic is building just a bit. we should see some delays near west nursery road.

violence. a man was shot in his hand. police say the shooter made a chilling statement. >> he said i feel like killing someone, at which time he withdrew a revolvers. >> investigators plan to charge keiron holly with attempted murder, his brother and also kesmond lewis are expected to face conspiracy and handgun charges in that case. drugs are suspected in a case on west fayette street. one man was shot on noble street. a dispute over a mp3 player ended with a man shot in the stomach pequot trying to draw attention to these idiots that run around our streets is ridiculous. if you want to help out, be critical but some people have to start telling their sons and

court. a couple others last cases may be the biggest by the high court in several years. robert byrd is seriously ill in the hospital this morning. he was believed to be suffering from heat exhaustion when he was rushed to the hospital last week. his condition is now serious. he is the longest-serving member congress. many are worried how the first tropical storm will affect the oil in the gulf. >> friday, crews drove pylons into the bay to hold back the oil. but there was a giant deep mobilization along the coast. the biggest job would be at the leak site. the discover enterprise

the heat and humidity. we'll give you the latest a tropical storm alex. >> senator robert byrd has died. he was hospitalized for heat exhaustion. but his condition became serious. he was 92 years old. >> a new study shows a comment vaccine for children could double the force users. medical experts say it is associated with double the risk for seizures in young children. these seizures are convulsions that are considered harmless in the long term. the rest for a seizure after a vaccination is low, less than one per 1000 injections. will secondhand smoke

hurricane before it makes landfall sometime on thursday. the track has shifted to the north. in looks like it will come ashore to texas but it should stay away from the gulf oil spill. here at home, there is nothing going on right now. parley cloudy skies. 81 at the airport -- partly cloudy skies. there is a cold front that will move through tonight and hopefully give us some rain and get rid of the heat. temperatures will make it into the mid 90's this afternoon. the best chance for rain will be tonight as the front comes through. temperatures down around 70 degrees tonight. we drop down to 87 on tuesday. look at the temperatures on wednesday, thursday, and friday.

fireworks-related injuries every year. only ground-based sparkling devices are legal in maryland. in baltimore, all fireworks are illegal and could land you a fine. officials decided against placing parking meters in ocean city at one part of the city. they would have generated nearly $400,000 over a decade to help with road projects. electric car charging stations are expected to pop up along the 95 corridor. it will still be a few months until electric cars hit the market. it will be up to five years before mainstream consumers begin buying them.
