The Mego 2-XL Robot was a toy robot which used 8-track tape cartridges to play trivia games. The four different programs were swapped between over the course of the game as the player selected different answers. This enabled the robot to give feedback based on the different answers.
As the title suggests, this one focuses on popular science fiction from the time. It was a sequel to the Science Fiction 1 cartridge.
There are two versions of this cartridge. Both cartridges have identical labels, so it is only possible to tell the difference by listening to the audio. I will call this one Revision A, though it is unclear which version came first. One key difference is on Question #25, as seen on program one. In revision A it asks about the smart-necklace type robots in Buck Rogers. They are either A) Doctor Theo, or B) Robby the Robot. In revision B, Question #25 asks about the leader of the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica. Question #26 on program one is also different. In revision A, it asks whether Superman was the most expensive movie ever made. However, in revision B, it asks whether Star Wars was the most expensive movie ever made.
This cartridge was originally digitzed by Mouser of DonationCoder.com for the 2-XL Simulator.
