This program is the all purpose mailing list manager for IBM PC's and compatibles you have been looking for. Mass Appeal lets you generate reports, address envelopes, print mailing labels, create rotary cards, and even generate interface files which you can use to produce form letters on most word processors. Mass Appeal is extremely user-friendly and is easily operated from one central main menu. Select functions by entering the appropriate number or letter. Even a beginner will be able to use this program! Mass Appeal will print multiple copies of a label in one of up to 48 available report formats. You can set up just about any size label you can imagine. Print in compressed mode, or choose some other style. Plus, you can specify bold facing, italics, and more! Use the powerful maintenance menus for choosing your report format and for defining words and phrases which you can assign to the function keys. One of the best features of Mass Appeal is its statistical window, which appears when you are printing a report, mailing labels, rotary cards, or anything else. This window shows you the time printing started, the total number of records that have to be printed, the percent complete, and more! You are also allowed to abandon any printing in progress by simply pressing the letter P. You can set up function keys to automatically insert frequently used words and phrases to save time and cut down on data entry errors. The program even allows you to merge specific records from one file into another. Or you can duplicate most of the information in one record into another by entering an asterisk into the field you want to copy. Mass Appeal supports both color and monochrome monitors, and provides a screen allowing you to set the monitor mode. The program also provides on-line help for each command function. Just by entering "H", the help screen will appear. (NOTE: Maintaining bulk rate information slows the process down some, so this should be done only when necessary. Also, it is recommended that you return to the main menu at least every 10 or 15 entries to save your entires and avoid possible data loss.)

The source diskette was part of a household collection and may contain e.g. high score files that were not present on the original pristine filesystem. Check timestamps: any file dated 1990-01-01 or later, that isn't mentioned in help.doc, is likely not original.
