Experimental prerelease of Manic Miners, an unofficial remake of the 1999 real-time strategy video game LEGO Rock Raiders.
Finally! Today's update brings a lot of new stuff: Most importantly Slimy Slugs are here! And they are bringing new toys in the form of Pusher Beams and Sonic Blasters. A new type of spawn system is also introduced, to easily make creatures spawn randomly into a level, and a "timer" feature for all the script maniacs. Check the demo files.
This is not the final version of the slugs and combat. It's messy, lacking, and has bugs. There are a lot more to be improved, this is not V1.0, so please be patient and try to have fun with the mayhem that is here right now instead! Coming feature plans include: - An "Attack priority" - An "Action Station mode" for individual Rock Raiders - The alert panel and radar so you can keep track of the invading critters. - The remaining levels will also be updated further at a later date.
A shortened changelog: (regular changelog has 100+ lines) - Added Slimy Slugs! - Remember: Crystal drain doesn't hurt you if you can recharge them. - Slugs will attempt to drain your buildings before returning to a Slimy Slug Hole nearby (drains 6 crystals at most) - They are tanky but it's easy to cause them to flee - Updated levels: - Rock Hard: Now has slugs and 2 extra Slimy Slug Holes - Back to Basics: Now has slugs. Lots of slugs. Feel the nostalgia. - Waterworks: Fixed missing objective - Added Pusher beams! (push effect) - Added Sonic Blasters! (stun effect) - Updated all world textures - Scripting: - Added timers - Added random spawn system - For these new features, please see these demo files in Levels\DEMO\Scripts - General improvements to layout and monitoring - Fixed like 50+ issues and bugs, too much to fit here!
