half 7-eleven is the time. for many in the bay area, thanksgiving is a holiday of cheer and being with family. for the less fortunate, it is one where many did not have enough to eat for a place to live. in the report says one in four san franciscans will go hungry this holiday season as food banks are falling short of supplies. these are the current numbers. the san francisco and marin food banks are still short. they

>>anny: domestic weather is putting a damper on some people's travel plans. but there is a little good news for air travelers. usa today reports several airplanes- airlines are letting people changed a reservations without tacking on a fee. delta is allowing people scheduled to fly to or from

cities such as new york, boston and washington it wants time to get change free of charge. u.s. airways, united, jet blue and american airlines are also reportedly waiving fees for changing plans for some travelers. >>james: the storm on the east coast is threatening macy's thanksgiving day parade. forecasters for tomorrow call for sustained winds of 20 mi. per hour and gus of 36 mi. per hour. in new york city rules say if sustained winds exceed 23 mi. per hour and gus exceed 34 mi. per hour, the parade giant balloons would have to be grounded. >>erica: those winds will hang around and we could see us up to 36 mi. per hour for the something will have to wait and see. as of right now we're starting to pick up some snow for parts of the sea and your right now.

on art is a homeless woman known as " cats lady called police said on monday afternoon, the suspects came up to the woman at pier 14 and grabbed all of her belongings including a cat carrier that held polecats and toss them in the water. firefighters were able to get the woman's belongings from the bay but the two cats had drowned. people who know the women say they're horrified and stunned at what happened. >>: i think that's terrible. >>: she is known around here. she's a nice lady. time warner raised in san francisco and that's now the we take care of our family out here. i mean she's homeless, she is a bunch of cats, whoever did this,,. >>james: animal control now wants to review nearby security cameras that may have captured the crime. the suspect is described only as a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt and carrying a skateboard. when he is caught, he is facing animal cruelty charges.

>>anny: slain san francisco supervisor harvey milk and mayor george mosconi will be honored today. community groups and is the harvey milk foundation will hold back to back a vigil and marches on the steps of city hall at 430. this will be followed by a march to the plaza at market and castro streets. family and friends of note and must on it will be speaking about the two men. it has been 35 years after the city's first openly gay supervisor was assassinated at city hall along with the mayor. they were killed by a disgruntled former city supervisor, dan flights. --was gmoscone. hist-dan white.

scene of an apartment fire at the 3200 block of briggs avenue. the fire was called in around 2:45. all four units have been evacuated. alameda city fire says they have rescued one person so far. the fire is in a second story apartment. the cause is under investigation. we are on the scene and we'll bring you more information as it becomes available. >>james: falling gas prices could be an unexpected gift this holiday season. aaa says the average price of gasoline has tumbled 49¢ from its peak this year to $3.29 a gallon putting it on track for the lowest average since 2010. and history shows that when gas prices drop, consumers become more likely to splurge on dinners

it was sort of impact are you saying a further flights in and out of the sfo? that's not right now what we are seeing a particular late flights going to the new york area are 45 minute delays. our advice to anyone travelling to these destinations today is for them to check with their at one before coming out to the airport to verify the status of their flights. >>james: very good. last friday was one of the busiest travel days for this thanksgiving but today i would imagine you would expect a spike as well for last-minute travelers? >>: we are and we have been seen a trend where the friday beforeactually ends up be busiest travel day grid we had about 130,000 travelers traveling through as a fall for it today, we are folk forecasting about 120,000. so still a busy day. sunday is usually a busy day. we do

morning. the fire started just before 3 a-m. in a two story apartment building on briggs avenue near lincoln park. one person was taken into custody. some residents jumped from their units to safety. the fire was brought under control just after 5 o clock this morning. the cause is under investigation. >>: that victim is a safe and down and away from the fire. currently there is a one injury to a firefighter. not all life-threatening. we believe it to be heat exhaustion and heat is transported to a local hospital. >>james: the person in custody is now under psychiatric called for it will have more information as it comes available for you. >>anny:the teenager set on fire while coming home on an a-c transit bus earlier this
