Apologies for shoddy photos, I may retake them in better quality. However, I'll leave it as it is for now. Apologies.
This is
Countdown, a MS-DOS game released by VCI Software, a obscure company, in 1994.
It is based on the popular Channel 4 television show, where contestants try to guess the longest word from just random strings of vowels and consonants, or the mathematical workings for a number.
ATTENTION: PLEASE READ SO YOU UNDERSTAND THE USE F READDESC.JPG. IF YOU IGNORE, THE GAME WILL NOT WORK!
In this game, there is copy protection, which is prompted when you start the game. It is treated like a Countdown puzzle, giving you thirty seconds to find the code, and more limited time to enter it.
If you fail to do this correctly, the game exits. That's where READDESC.JPG comes in.
At the top of the screen, it was prompt you to enter a combination of letters and numbers, which are always one letter, and two numbers (say like this: A30, E40, H42, stuff like that.)
What you're meant to do this is when prompted, you match the letter from the top, and you scan down to the number asked. Then, you enter the word found.
