Welcome to the developer support package for the Atari Falcon030. This kit contains a machine with 16 Megabytes of RAM (14 Megabytes are used), a harddisk, software on the harddisk and on floppies, and the documentation package that you are reading. The DSP folder on the harddisk contains the files ASM56000.TTP, DSPLNK.TTP, CLDLOD.TTP, README and DSPBIND.H which is the binding needed to use the DSP Support Routines described in this manual. Note: Some compiler systems require different binding...

Welcome to the STE TOS Release Notes! This document describes the changes made in STE TOS. It also describes the Cookie Jar, a feature implemented in STE TOS that can be easily retrofitted to other versions, as well. There is a section for each affected layer of TOS (Desktop, AES, and so on), and one for the Cookie Jar. We suggest you look through the Table of Contents, then read through the document in the order of your interests. As always, we welcome your comments.

In broad terms, the things you have to know about Pexec are that it starts up a process, lets it execute, then returns to the caller when that process terminates. The caller- the process which used Pexec in the first place - has some responsibilities: it must make memory available to the OS for allocation to the child, it must build an argument string for the child, and it must either pass an environment to the child or let the child inherit a copy of its environment. Pexec has several modes,...

Remember, DON’T PANIC. This is the new, improved introduction to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the BIOS, which describes the BIOS (and many other aspects) of Atari’s ST computer series. The introduction still won’t tell you much, but at least it tells you not to panic. The Guide’s intended audience: Application writers (who will find some of the functions and hints here invaluable) ; Those wishing to make use of some of the ST’s hardware-specific features (hacking palette colors,...

Introduction to GEM RCS GEM'™ Resource Construction Set (RCS) is a GEM application you use to create resources (menus, dialog boxes, alert boxes, etc.) for your GEM application programs. GEM RCS also lets you incorporate icons and bit-images you create with GEM IconEdit into your resource files. You don’t have to be a programmer to use GEM RCS. You can create all of the application’s resources and then give the file to a programmer to include with the program code.

Atari Corporation Atari TT030 Hardware Reference Manual June 1990 The TT (Thirty-two/Thirty-two bit) is the first member of a new series of Atari computers designed as enhanced versions of the existing ST and MEGA family. The TT series maintains compatibility with the STIMEGA architecture, but uses the Motorola 68030 microprocessor and provides enhanced graphics and sound. The TT is also designed to allow it to run UNIX 1 without any speed penalty caused by ST compatibility constraints.
