In July, 2008, Nine Inch Nails released their album "The Slip" for free, via a CC-BY-NC-SA license. The album was released in multiple formats. This is the highest-quality version: 24bit samples, 96khz, encoded using FLAC. Artwork included. Note that there's a mistake in the FLAC release artwork as distributed by NIN: 02-1000000.jpg is mistakenly a Photoshop source file. For this release, I have renamed it to .PSB and generated a new 02-1000000.jpg from the source (JPEG at quality...

These are the multitrack stems from the song "A Secret Life", taken from the album "My Life In The Bush of Ghosts" by Brian Eno and David Byrne. The stems were released (alongside those for " Help Me Somebody ") in 2006 for the album's 25th anniversary on an interactive "forum" website bush-of-ghosts.com , now defunct. These stems are the WAV files as originally made available with no modifications. Coverage of the original release and site launch:...

This is a downsampling of that version to 24/48, which is the highest quality that Apple iDevices (iPods, iPhones, etc.) can play. The files are encoded in iTunes-compatible ALAC. The 24/96 FLAC source for this release is available here:...

Nine Inch Nails presents Ghosts I - IV, a brand new 36 track instrumental collection available right now. Almost two hours of new music composed and recorded over an intense ten week period last fall, Ghosts I - IV sprawls Nine Inch Nails across a variety of new terrain. Trent Reznor explains, "I've been considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years, but by its very nature it wouldn't have made sense until this point. This collection of music is the result of working from a...

This is a derivation of the Instagr/am/bient project, available at http://www.archive.org/details/Instagrambient. The only difference is I've replaced all the embedded artwork with higher-resolution copies (from the PDF file contained within). Please note that I did not upload the PDF (unchanged); see the original item for that. Original description: "25 ambient musicians created original sonic postcards in response to one anotherâs evocative instagram photos."
