The Madden football series appears for the last time on the Genesis with  Madden NFL 98 . With PC  and next-gen console  versions having moved to 3D graphics, the Genesis version retains the classic view of the series. Most of the playing modes are the same as on the SNES , but the Genesis version has its own selection of teams and gameplay options. Players can select from the 30 teams of the 1997 NFL season, the 1997 All-Madden team, an EA Sports and a THQ team, plus 68 classic NFL teams,...

Chip McCallahan in Sonic the Hedgehog is a Sonic 1 hack created by MainMemory. It replaces Sonic the Hedgehog with Chip McCallahan, the main character in Chip's Challenge. Chip can't run fast, roll or jump high, and rings do not protect him from damage. When you die, you will get one of the death messages from Chip's Challenge, and the level will restart with no decrease in your life count.

The idea of this arcade game is deceptively simple: Guide a marble down a path without hitting any obstacles or straying off the course. The game is viewed from an isometric perspective, which makes it harder to stay focused on the direction the ball is to follow. There are tight corridors to follow and enemies to avoid. Sonic the Hedgehog - Westside Island is a palette and layout hack of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive. All levels have new layouts, new names and new palettes and the bosses have been made harder. In addition, the level select has been edited and you can now only start on Act 1 of each level from here. If you want to play Sonic 1 but with a new change of pace, this could be what you are looking for.

Mr. Salt & Mrs. Pepper are by the kitchen window looking at the snowflakes outside. While in real life there are no two snowflakes exactly alike, in this game, there are! It's your job to find those two snowflakes and put them together. Look closely... some of them are nearly the same. When you win, the snowflakes drift gently down!

(UPLOAD FAILED: DETECTED AS A VIDEO) The controls remain mostly intact albeit with some changes. The berry throw and the run are now separate buttons instead of using a single button, being assigned to  A  and  B  respectively. You also jump with  C . Flik also appears to move a lot smoother than he does in the original game. A lot of the other control mechanics such as when riding Dim or bouncing higher off the leaves remain the same. The port only has four out of eight levels from the...

Sonic - Hyper X is a 2004 hack of Sonic the Hedgehog created by Skaarg. It was one of the first Sonic hacks that had all of its music changed. In addition, it also featured modified palettes and layouts. Skaarg had stated that he was going to continue to expand upon his hack, but it seems highly unlikely at this point.

Sonic 1 Easy mode is port of Sonic 1's Easy mode from the Sega Saturn game Sonic Jam. Easy mode uses completely different level layouts. The level order is also different and some levels are omitted completely (but are still playable using level select).

This hack removes all music from the game, except for the Chaos Emerald jingle. Useful if you want to listen to other music while being able to hear the sound effects. No other changes were made to the game besides the addition of text to the title screen.

From Sculptured Software comes an adaptation of the classic board game  Monopoly  for the dominating console systems of the early 90s (later also ported to Game Boy Color). The game can be played by up to eight players (only four in the Game Boy versions). Any number of positions can be taken over by computer opponents. The game comes with eight different opponents, which are selected from a portrait gallery (8- and 16-bit versions feature different names and portraits). It is possible to set...
