These were the internal SGI Indy technical documents scanned for the Linux MIPS project in 2004. From what I know these are some of the few, if not the only SGI hardware technical documents out there as the rest were shredded after the Rackable takeover IIRC. I'm mirroring these here as the rest are on the Linux MIPS FTP, and as big tech companies like Mozilla and Google know what's best for you they've disabled FTP in newer web browsers.

This is an archive of tons of HP 9000 Series 700/800 firmware updates. These firmware updates include frm files either packed in a self extracting .sh file (that can be extracted on any HP-UX box) or in tars. These frm files are designed to be written to a tape, however using lifutils or a similar lif extractor, you too can get the raw firmware update files (named PDC or similar) out of the firmware updater. With this toolkit you can write programs for Windows CE with Visual C++ 5, VB 5, and Visual J++ 1.1. An installation of these is required to use this. Judging by the dates and files this was from around the time of Windows CE 2.0. To properly use this, you need an installation of Windows NT. Otherwise emulation and debugging will not work.

This upload contains quite a few DEC/Compaq/HP Alpha firmware update CDs. These CDs were posted on their FTP and sometimes bundled with Tru64/OpenVMS installation CDs to update Alpha systems to the latest firmware. At some point around version 5.7 or 6.0, firmware update CDs quit including firmware updates for earlier models. Therefore one has to check the smmtable.txt file on later CDs to see which CD has which firmware versions. Even older versions of the CD won't read normally under Windows...

Here's the hard to find ISO version of Open Genera 2.0 with the patch in a zip file. This requires Tru64 to work (either on a physical or emulated DEC/Compaq/HP Alpha system) along with a working networking setup. To install this, you need to mount it as ISO9660. In the zip file is the 8.18 patch that supposedly fixes some bugs.

This CD contained the ObjectAda Special Edition 7.0 compiler for Windows 95 and NT along with some Ada programming books in HTML format and code examples. The CD was starting to flake apart and was in poor shape despite being unusued, the cover was half torn, and the PVC case holding the CD in was impossible to open without cutting the PVC case itself. Scanned with an Epson V700, dumped with Imgburn 2.5.8.0.

When UNIX workstations and servers were selling well, IBM released catalogs to promote AIX powered RS/6000 workstations and servers. These catalogs included system pricing, upgrades, and software/accessories for these systems. This is one such catalog from Winter 2000, a rare find. The catalog features full color pages and even a foldout of all the RS/6000 models available at that time.

These are the drivers for the Silicon Graphics 320/540 Visual Workstations for Windows 2000. This includes the SGI SSK, media software, and Cobalt Graphics drivers. To use them, install Windows 2000 (I had the best luck with SP4) as you normally would on the SGI 320/540, install the SSK first, then install the other two drivers.
