This
paper presents a reliable control design technique for linear,
time-invariant, multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems with degraded
actuators and sensors. The degradation defined in this paper ranges from
normal operational conditions to complete failure of actuators and sensors.
We derive linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions ensuring robust stability
of the system using static state feedback. The potential of the proposed
technique has been demonstrated by an example of three coupled inverted
