Forum: software Subject: how to change disks in Apple ][ emulator in browser?

Many classic Apple ][ titles use multiple floppy disks. The boot disks work in the emulator running in the browser-- Firefox in my case. But as far as I can see, the interface has no way to switch disks. So multi-disk software is not usable.

Archive.org ought to provide some documentation of the controls. I guessed, correctly as it turned out, that the emulator was MAME, and searched for docs on that. I learned that Scroll Lock is how the emulator switches between passing all input along to the emulated machine, and escaping to a "UI mode".

In the UI mode, press Tab to get a menu. One of the menu items is "Image Information", which lists the floppy disk images that are currently in the emulated floppy drives, called "flop1" and "flop2". And here, I am stuck. I have found no way to change the floppy disk images. Pressing Enter should bring up a menu allowing the selection of whatever floppy image the user wants, but in the emulator in the browser, nothing happens.

One thing that could help a little bit is to have titles that take only 2 disks start with both disks already in the 2 floppy drives. Currently, "flop2" is always empty.
