Spinal Tap Moments- a nice way to start the day. My favorite is Nigel playing his guitar with a violin, and stopping for a moment to do a slight tuning adjustment on the violin.

Which makes me think of....

An oddball Phil moment- playing bottleneck slide bass during the 9/6/85 Space. I don't recall seeing him do that at any other show, or hearing it on a tape.

Yeah those 85 Red Rocks shows were the zenith of my Dead Head years.
I always compared everything after those shows to those 3 days.

In my opinion CAN have been at their best once they took a bit of trouble over crafting a melody. Holger Czukay, their bassist, knew this and some of his solo stuff is really worth checking out (e.G.
