Forum: software Subject: Is there a way for to use an existing file/link to seed torrents?

Hey everyone,

I have a general understanding of how torrents work, but I could use some guidance here. My understanding is that, whenever you upload a file to, it creates its own torrent file and magnet link which leverages the site's tracker and will seed it to you if you attempt to download it that way.

I have some relatively rare/older OS distro images that I've been seeding for a long time and would like to offload them to for persistence. However, I'd prefer that be able to seed them without creating unique torrent files so that users could use the existing files/links to download the file. Is there any way to do this?
