Man the Emmylou vid puts me back. I saw her for the first time when she opened for Joe Walsh at the LA Shrine. Major crush. This this the second iteration of the Hot Band. It's Albert Lee in there after James Burton left. And if you look close there a young Rodney Crowell getting his start. Dig that fro.👀

Whole gig was over by 6 and we all piled in the car and drive back home to Palo Alto. You have to be tough to be a Deadhead.

The School allowed us to play in between sets for the official prom band they had hired.and we were terrible.
One of the class clowns actually pulled the main electric feed to the stage right in the middle of our set.
I did get to dance with one of the finest girls at our school so the night wasn't a total wash.
Warren Zevon with Alvin Lee and The Grateful Dead yeah that must have been way cool.

It's got to be alright"
