Thanks for posting, and thanks for the obit; what a character he was--it brings a grin reading of those folks that knew him in person had glimpses of what we learned here in detail and learned it fast...not that I am saying we knew him "better", but it's really eye-opening to realize how much you can learn about someone IF they write a great deal.

Hmmm--yes, SDH, I think this means you could go on and on and on in eulogizing my passing, eh? On the other hand, it's a more narrow kind of knowing, to use an old cliche...

Anyhoo, sad day.

I think I want my headstone to read: "Here lies a cranky old bastard who thought he knew everything...but in the end (insert your own tasteless pun here)"
