Did Billy get out the jackhammer out more then this one night? It was the second of a three night run, and we scored shitty seats. We moved behind the stage to just chill and take it all in, after going hard the first night. During drums, all of sudden we hear this familiar sound, one heard especially around the Omni that year. It was the familiar sound of a freaking jackhammer! Puzzled, we look down and see Billy, clear as bell, operating a freaking jackhammer. He is kinda of just goofing off with it at first, and making random rat-atat-tat sounds. Mickey is still messing around with the beam. Billy then comes over next to Micky, and they then of kinda of start searching for a common rhythm to latch onto. So once it gets going, Mickey then starts raising his leg up and is pounding on the beam with his right foot like a madman, at the same time, Billy is matching up to him, by drilling a hole in our heads with a freaking jackhammer. It builds up into a small crescendo and then bam, it’s over. The crowd who stuck around for it, was memorized by it and we let out a small cheer. I just happened to be in the right spot staring down on all of it in disbelief. When it was over, Micky and Bill hug each other in spontaneous joy, after they realized they had just turned a moment of rhythmic cacophony into a very unusual unique urban sounding beat.

Felt like I witnessed something special. Anyone know if they ever did this again, or was this a one off thing? Was the jackhammer ever brought out again? Anyone else see this? It felt really cool to witness this and felt I had a front row seat to it. Just another one of those things that kept your head spinning as you walked out of a GD show and your wondering what the hell did I just see and hear?

Starts about the 5:22 mark during drums. Check it out.

Sounds exactly like a pneumatic tool we used to chip away stucco back in my window installation days.

Will be watching the primary couple of video games up on the Mogollon Rim in Eastern AZ in a tent (or outdoor, with a bit of luck) sipping a few first-rate Irish whiskey. The miracles of current generation. Visit here for more detail https://bapehoodie.co/
