50 years ago today they kicked the thing off in London.
So with the relative quality of each recording now a moot issue, the audiophiles can sit this one out. That said, what's the best *performance*, the best show from the spring of '72?

4-26 is the best. Mozart would have been impressed.

I'm inclined to agree. 5/11 is sort of the Dark Star equivalent show of 4/26, both are nearly equally favorites of the tour for me.

LOL I wasn't gonna mention any names but yeah, so much of the discussion used to be around the fidelity of the various recordings.
I would have guessed with this two month internship across the pond that the strength of their performances might have gathered a particular momentum over time. (I'm partial to Rotterdam as well.) But there are reviews from early April that are remarkably strong. Check out this one from Newcastle, only their third gig, in early April.
