I figured out how to edit the filename after uploading but that just made a mess of a second copy of the original and all of the derived files.

I didn't add the second file, just renamed it. The number of derived files has doubled. Also one copy of the original pdf file has doubled in size.

Thank You :)
Looks much better.

What issues, if any, would have been caused by leaving the spaces in the filename?

I found the answer at random in the forums.

spaces, underscores and dashes are ok. special characters can cause problems.
