Hello there,
here is another bug I have to report with your new 78 rpm site design: when you play a site, which consists of several files, the playing stops after the first piece. This may be appropraite for George Blood sites, where several inferior versions of the same song follow the main piece, but not for sites of ambitous uploaders, who for example upload song cycles, chamber music works etc. with several movements.
My observation is, that in every 78rpm site which contains several pieces playing stops after the first track. When you press the play button again, it continues and plays then all of the next pieces without a pause. (and this is not only on my own sites.)
This is uncomfortable when you want to listen to longer works or music which consist of several parts.

I do not know why you did change the design of the 78 rpm sites in a similar way the LP sites are (but there WITH correct pictures). Could you please communicate about this? The old fashioned way was just perfect for me, and I do not know why you have changed such a fine performance. No pictures anymore, several clicks to listen to longer works - that is no progress!

All the best from Emilio

Dear Jeff,
thanks for caring!

I use Microsoft Edge with Windows 10 Professional. The fault did not occur before you have changed the design. I experienced it on my latest upload
https://archive.org/details/p.-9827-larsen-todsen
I experienced that playing stops after the first track, but then continues in the others at this:
https://archive.org/details/01BrahmsTrioOp.1011.Satz1

Other sites are also concerned, for example from my collector friend Satyr:
https://archive.org/details/as-36-a-h-whita-msop-hermann-leeb-lute

I just checked it out again, the effect is still there. The second track is shown in the window after the first is over, but the player leaves the play mode.

I hope you'll find a way to help.

Sincerely, Emilio

I can confirm that I'm seeing this same behavior, at least on the first link to Brünnhildes Schlussgesang. It plays through the first selection, then appears to highlight the second piece as if it's going to play it, but doesn't. It just stops playing. It also doesn't show the artwork associated with the file, just a generic speaker and the waveform.

I'm using Firefox 95.0.2 (64 bit) on an old Windows 7 machine.

Hope that helps.

quite possible. we do not test for operating systems that old. maybe try different browsers or upgrade the OS if possible.

sorry i dont. firefox, chrome are the typical ones we suggest but your operating system is so old that the versions that work with it may not play correctly either.

I think you may be confusing me with Emilio who first reported the issue, and I think is running Windows 10. I was merely reporting the same issue with an older OS. It worked fine up until recently with the new appearance.
