I believe the code used expects the file(s) to run are inside of a zip archive. So you will need to place edit.exe inside of a zip file and upload that.

Then you will need to add the following fields after the zip is uploaded (and a side note - if you try using the new uploader with the custom fields which include a _ in them they are discarded. You need to add them after the item has been uploaded):

Emulator with a value of dosbox
Emulator_start with a value of edit.exe
Emulator_ext with a value of zip
