Hello,

I've noticed that NBA Jam ( https://archive.org/details/segasms_NBA_Jam_1994_Acclaim_-_Iguana_Entertainment_-_Midway_EU_en_proto ) is listed as a SEGA Master System game, when it was in fact a SEGA Genesis game.

This may also explain why the software doesn't run - it just displays "Software Error".

This is absolutely a Sega Master System game. (It was definitely released as a Genesis game too, which is what's confusing.) This was an unreleased prototype, so I haven't determined its provenance.

We've determined the issue.

This is a European prototype version of NBA Jam for the Game Gear, but for some reason it will only boot properly on a Japanese Game Gear. We've swapped the emulator it runs to a Japanese Game Gear and the game now starts up.

i think such issues are difficult to classify because there are many opinions on the right categories
