ok, for a gif to show up in the search results now, it has be named *exactly* like
IDENTIFIER.gif

where IDENTIFIER is the thing after /details/

the search results blindly try to serve that filename.

Thank you for your response again. So if the filename does not match the identifier it won't show up? Can this be fixed--would I have to remove the file and re-upload with the correct filename or is there a way to just edit it?

Thanks again!

Ok, so I tried editing the filenames (Edit, change files, rename all those listed)--I changed all filenames to match the identifier, which solved the search result issue; however, now the document won't display images in the online reader, which is arguably a worse problem. How do I fix this? Or is this something that will just take time to finish? Thank you.

please provide a link to the item and we can take a look. if you are referring to https://archive.org/details/UncwMagazinefall2010 that has been fixed. any items you changed the file name on would need to be rederived so that the image file names match the new file name.

This is an example of one where I edited the filenames to match the identifier and now the gif displays properly in search results, but the images do not display in item view for reading online.

The other one that I edited is displaying now, so it may just be that it takes time. (https://archive.org/details/UncwMagazinefall2010) If that is the case I can just continue to edit them the way that I did these 2 I would assume.

Thank you.

no. i ran a new derive of the one that's working. that's what is needed if you change the file names.

Right, but I also ran a new derive on those I edited and they are still not displaying for reading online.

Examples: https://archive.org/details/UncwMagazinespring2011

https://archive.org/details/UncwMagazinespring2010

https://archive.org/details/UNCWMagazine2012Spring

How long should a new derive take? I ran new ones today, but I also ran one on at least one of the above files well over a week ago. I am running the new derive from the Item Manager when I go to edit item. Is there another way?
Thank you.
